Iced Caramel Macchiato Protein Variant

I don't especially enjoy protein shakes on their own. I either have to make a thick fruit smoothie, which usually I don't have the calories for, or I have to add it into my morning coffee. Here is a simple recipe and the calories don't increase much from the added ingredients in the Iced Caramel Macchiato Protein Variant.


Ingredients:

  • 8oz cold brewed coffee

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 1 cup of ice

  • 1 TBSP or 2 TBSP Skinny Girl Sugar Free Salted Carmel

  • 1 TBSP Cool Whip Sugar Free


Directions:

  1. Brew coffee night before and place in the fridge to use in the morning.

  2. Once cold, combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend!

  3. Top with cool whip.

Serves: 1

Notes

I used Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey - French Vanilla protein powder. You can substitute with a different protein powder, but the nutrition information may vary.

I used Skinny Girl Sugar Free Salted Caramel, but you can use salted caramel extract, but only add in 1/2 tsp of the extract instead of the tablespoons of skinny girl syrup.

For a more smoothie like texture add more ice for it to be thicker. You can also add greek yogurt as well.
